Welcome!

Welcome, my name is Patty Collins and I own Native Stone Designs. My format is simple, to offer beautiful well-made and well-designed jewelry (mostly my own) and other art forms as they become available. I have a friend who is Lankten Souix from Wagner South Dakota who paints. He is Joseph Chamberlin, well known American artist. I will have some of his work from time to time.

I have a friend who is Muskogee Creek and she makes beautiful long flowing earrings. She also does some peyote stitch and brick stitch. She is a wonderful friend and artist and I can’t wait to introduce her to you!

Indian art is powerful to me. It communicates on multiple levels but like all art, it is interpreted individually.

Be sure to check back often because our merchandise will be ever changing and you don’t want to miss out!!

Sending big blessings your way!!

Joseph Chamberlain Paintings

These are authentic paintings by Joseph Chamberlain, Dakota, Native American from Wagoner SD

We may from time to time carry some of the prints from some of his paintings but I will make sure they are labeled as such so there is no confusion as to what you are buying.

Diamond (!)

What makes a diamond a diamond?

1. It is made wholly of carbon.
2. It is graded 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
3. It will cut glass.
4. It won’t ever cloud up.
5. The cut carat and clarity determines the cost.

The diamond made in the lab has all the potential a mined diamond has, the exceptions are:

1. No one dies as a direct result of making the lab made one.
2. Acres and acres of land won’t be strip mined with chemical runoff that destroys habitats for generations with the lab made one.
3. People who work in the labs want to be there.
4. In some of these mines the working conditions are horrific. Many of the workers are children who have been kidnapped and forced into slave labor.
5. The lab made diamond is flawless. The mined diamond has inclusions.

The lab made diamond usually costs 20-30 % less than the mined diamond.

Like most things some companies make lab made diamonds of lesser quality. They may not be all carbon, they rate a 9.1-9.25 on the Mohs scale. They are still perfectly clear, flawless and the extensive cut is ideal for the maximum fire. The cost is usually around 80% less than a mined diamond.

New cuts have been developed for diamonds that bring out more fire and create more sparkle than ever.

I urge everyone to go to your computer and query up Man Made diamonds. Learn about them and perhaps the next time you are in the market for something diamond you will check out the man made diamonds!
